Bernstein, with over thirty years’ experience, is one of the most recognized and respected names in New York in the hospitality-law field. He began his career in Chicago with Friedman & Koven as a commercial litigator and returned to New York in 1983 to work at what became Victor and Bernstein, P.C., the preeminent hospitality law firm.

Over the years Mr. Bernstein has become the person hospitality related businesses as well as the most prestigious law firms turn to, and his clients include the most recognized names in the industry. He counsels clients on liquor licensing, having filed hundreds of liquor license applications for hotels and restaurants and appearing before the New York State Liquor Authority and the local community boards regularly. He also represents restaurant and bar owners in the purchase and sale of their retail business, drafting and negotiating store leases, preparing consulting and management agreements, and has particular expertise in the licensing of private members clubs such as Soho House.

Donald M.
